Your Network Marketing business, and businesses as a whole, can be pretty ficle. One minute you are growing like a weed on steroids, and then the next minute you can’t get anyone to join your opportunity.

It is very frustrating when you are stuck at a certain level in your business- I know, I’ve been there! But there is a way to get unstuck!

Whether it’s an MLM or a Network Marketing business that you are building, the main reason that you become stuck is all based on your mindset (assuming that you are taking the right action).

In any work from home business, it can be pretty lonely when things are not going right. As you try to grow your business online it may seem as though everyone else is having success except for you!

This is where your mind can play tricks on you. Ray Higdon taught me a few tips on the types of negative mindset that can keep you stuck in the mud with your opportunity, and what you can do to get unstuck rolling along.

It is grouped in a category of excuses called ‘Comparitis’, the parts of comparitis is being sad or upset when others have success, and thinking that people that succeed did it by not being ‘morrally or ethically correct.

What Type Of Network Marketer Are You?

What type of network marketer are you?

In my opinion there are basically two types of people who build a Network Marketing or MLM business. As a network marketer, it is important that you learn what the philosophies are of the two types so that you can learn how to be a successful network marketer.

The two kinds of business builders that I have defined are the “Used Car” and the “Luxury Car” network marketer. They are significantly different in their prospecting approach, philosophy on how to build a Network Marketing business, and what their overall purpose is in helping their prospects.

Knowing what type of business builder you are will help you in learning how to do well in network marketing, as well as to understand what skills and mindset that you should have to be successful in your MLM business.

Should you build your MLM business online?

I get asked that question a lot by people who are in MLM and Network Marketing. It is a valid question since the internet and Social Media have become so popular. Many Network Marketers who were building their businesses before Social Media became popular, built their businesses strictly using offline methods; prospecting at stores, gas stations, and sharing their opportunity using hotel meetings, and face to face meetings.

These methods do work, but is there another way to build your MLM business? The short answer is yes!

I distinctly remember coming home from being out all night prospecting and telling my wife that there had to be another way to prospect and build our Network Marketing business online.

After doing a bunch of research and searching Google on “how to do network marketing online,” or “how to start network marketing online,” I found a great system that taught me how to market and brand myself while also attracting prospects for my MLM business. A simple way to do multi level marketing online. 

This was the answer to my problem, a way to build your business online!

Now please understand that offline methods do work also. In fact, there are tons and tons of successful multi-millionaires who built their Network Marketing and MLM companies offline only. Just because you use methods to build your MLM opportunity online, doesn’t mean that you discard all aspects of offline building.

For example, the phone is still your greatest tool and asset. The purpose of using online marketing techniques is to take the conversation offline; on the phone, so that you can develop a better relationship with your prospect ad truly find out their needs.

Overcoming Objections In Network Marketing

Overcoming objections in Network Marketing is something that many business owners both new and old struggle with. Handling objections is really not that difficult at all if you understand how to manage the energy of the conversation. What I mean is that you don’t want to come across as trying to convince or sell your opportunity when answering questions or handling objections in Network Marketing.

To manage the energy of the conversation is to take away all emotional responses and if the prospect pulls away from you with their objections, you should pull away as well in your response.

One of the most common Network Marketing objections or questions that you will get is, “How much does it cost?” The prospect usually will ask this question before they ever even take a look at your opportunity, after you have asked them if they are open to making money or starting a Home Business, etc. The way to answer this question is not usually taught in any local MLM training teams.

In fact, many times Network Marketers are left on their own accord when it comes to overcoming objections or answering Network Marketing objections as a whole. That is a big reason why so many business owners struggle to sponsor reps into their opportunity unless they sell their prospects like a used car salesman sells to the car buying customer.

Fear Of Rejection- How To Overcome Rejection In Your MLM Business

Fear of rejection is what holds most MLM and Network Marketers back from having the success that they want in their Network Marketing business. This fear of being rejected usually starts from us trying to preserve our own self image; how we want others to see us. In fact, people are so caught up in keeping their self image looking good that they will literally kill for it. That is how powerful our self image is to us.

It is no wonder why so many people are afraid of rejection and will do anything they can to avoid it. Overcoming fear of rejection is not as complicated as you may think. Fear of rejection is a matter of having the right attitude and the right mindset about your self image as well as how you view rejection.

Rejection is not the end of the world. Actually, rejection is a major part of success. Ask any top earner in Network Marketing, MLM, or any other sales position. They had to take action, get rejected, and then make adjustments to try again. Over and over. They got rejected many more times than they succeeded and that is exactly why they are successful today.

Don’t view rejection as final. It is merely part of the path to success. Rejection should not be taken personal! Remember this: people say no to themselves, not you!

MLM Prospecting- How To Transition To Talk About Your Business

MLM prospecting online or offline is one of the most basic and important parts to building your multi level marketing business. There are a ton of different mlm prospecting tips that you can find on the internet that will teach you how to open up the conversation to talk to strangers or even connect with other people online.

Many times when I am working with one of my coaching clients, one of the common questions or struggles that they have is “Once I start the conversation with a prospect, how do I transition into talking about my mlm business?”

This is a great question because we have all been there before, right?

You are having a great conversation with a prospect and feel like you are really connecting with them…but in the back of your mind, you are thinking, “How can I make the switch to talk or offer my mlm opportunity without making it too awkward?”

I have been there many, many times! That is, until I learned some very simple and easy to use transition lines to get the topic onto my business opportunity.

They are very subtle statements that will unconsciously ques your prospects into asking about your mlm opportunities. That is key!

You see, when a prospect asks you about your business, they are essentially giving you permission to talk and ask them if they are open to making money from a business of their own. It doesn’t seem weird at all to the prospect, because they asked!!

Get Tips & Tricks To Build Your Business

These transition statements are interchangeable. You can use any of them anytime, depending on the direction of the conversation. Practice them in your mind, so the next time you are in a conversation with a prospect, you can pull out one of the statements and use it to your advantage!

Personality types are something that every single one of us has in our DNA. Each individual person has a combination of four personality types from the laid back to the aggressive approach to people and life. Knowing how to interact with each of the four personality type is critical to your MLM recruiting or Network Marketing recruiting!

Building an MLM or multi level marketing business is all about relationships. The more that you know about the four personality types, the better you will become at building business teams. You will know what motivates some while it will repel others, and you will also know how to close each of the personality types into your business opportunity!
