MLM or Multi Level Marketing is a very rewarding business opportunity where you can help people to achieve their financial goals and dreams.

So why is it that some prospects lie to you when you try to share your business opportunity with them? They said that they were looking to make some more money or free up some time, right?

There is one major factor that is contributing to the lack of your MLM success. It is something that you may not recognize or even realize that you are doing. Once you do understand what this factor is, you can easily correct it and have more success with your business!

Let’s talk about what that one factor is that is limiting the success you are having in your Network Marketing business, and figure out how to correct it. I know that it can be very frustrating when you have prospects lie to you and say that they will show up at the home meeting, hotel meeting, or even watch a video online that they said they wanted to see!!

MLM tips are something that every Network Marketer or Home Business owner can use. In this post, I am going to share with you some MLM tips and tricks on how you can talk to or engage with your “chicken list!”

What is a “chicken list?” A chicken list are those individuals who you would like to talk to about your business opportunity, but you are intimidated by them. Usually the people on the chicken list are people who you respect and value their opinion. Furthermore, many times these prospects on your chicken list are doing well financially, and you may feel that they would never want to join your business.

I have good news for you! It’s not your fault!! You have never been properly taught the MLM tips on how to approach your chicken list, or been given the correct mindset on how to engage with them. Your upline or the mentor that is helping you most likely told you to write down a bunch of names on a piece of paper, which you did. The names that you wrote down were probably people who you are doing better than financially, or you KNOW that they need to make money.

The reality is, most of the time it is in the chicken list that lies the true go-getter and ambitious people that you know! That is why you are intimidated and haven’t asked them if they are open to your opportunity. Crazy, right?

Appointment setting is a very important step in growing your Network Marketing business. After all, setting appointments is the only real way that you are able to show your business opportunity whether it is online of offline. But what happens if you set an appointment and your prospect doesn’t show up (no show)?

Early on in my Network Marketing career, I used to chase people around. They would cancel or no show, and I would call and give them another chance. They would no show again, and I would repeat the process. What a crazy nightmare and a total waste of time! So what do you do if you get no showed?

How To Answer The “What Is It?” Question

Do you ever get the, “What is it?” question when you are prospecting for your Network Marketing business? I used to get it all the time! I would be talking to a prospect at a gas station and I would ask the money question only to get the response, “Yeah I am open to making money, what is it?” 15 minutes later I would be still trying to answer every question out there from what is the name of the company to how do you make the money? Clearly, this was not very effective for me! Can you relate?

That single question of “What is it?” stumps most Network Marketers and stops them right in their tracks. You see, they want to answer all of the questions that the prospect has so that they don’t seem like they are hiding anything, but then the prospect makes a decision as to whether or not they want to get more information about the opportunity based on a 5-10 minute conversation instead of actually seeing the opportunity. This can become very frustrating!!

One of my mentors, Ray Higdon, taught me a very helpful and simple way to get past the “What is it?” question and I am going to share it with you in this video!

Getting no-showed, whether it is to show your business opportunity or when following up, is a part of the process when building your business. Early in my Network Marketing business I would get no showed all the time. It was frustrating because I wanted to show my opportunity to get my business to grow. I would get upset and wonder how people could be so unaccountable. I mean, they showed up to work every day, 5 days per week, and now they had the chance to make some real good money and they didn’t show up or even call?As I grew in my business, I started to learn some things on how to get no showed less and less. There are some things you can do to help ensure your prospects show up and are accountable.

Perhaps you are like most people in Network Marketing who will say something like, “So what do you think?” or “Do you like what you saw?” Those lines are worn out and do not work! I am always asked by both new and old Home Business owners and people in Network Marketing what the correct script should be when they are talking to prospects about their opportunity. There are many aspects to the “perfect” script when it comes to meeting potential prospects, calling prospects/connecting with prospects on social media, and talking to prospects about your opportunity. 

The fact is, there is no one perfect script out there! I’m sorry to burst your bubble! Sure there are some great ones that you can use and get results, but the biggest determining factor of how useful and effective the scripts that you use are is your belief and your personality; the enthusiasm in which you come across.

In this video, I will break down some different points that I believe you should incorporate into any script that you use. You can use 1 or 2 of the points, or all of them. What you will want to do is take the points and blend them with your belief and personality to craft your perfect script. Watch the video below and see what I mean!

 
If you use this framework and points of emphasis, you will be able to craft your perfect script using your personality and belief in your business opportunity. You can say the words, or you can SAY the words and really mean it?
