Have you read success books, listened to audios/CD’s, attended live conferences, and studied numerous “success gurus”, and you still are not making money? I can tell you that I went through this maze of studying, taking action, and my wife and I still didn’t make the kind of money that we wanted to. 

We were missing this one particular secret to making money! This secret was something that we were later taught in its purest form, but we had to go through our struggles before it really hit us! One of my mentors, Ray Higdon sent an email to me and shot a quick video talking about this #1 secret to making money. After watching the video, it brought me back to what I had learned about making money that, quite honestly, I had forgotten about.

I felt that this is such an important secret to success, that I went out and made a short video myself expressing the impact that Ray’s video had on me, and also provided the #1 secret to making money because I felt that it would impact others.

Stop Trying To Please Everyone

Are you suffering from the “trying to please everyone syndrome?” Do you want try to do everything in your power to not disappoint people? I find that a lot of people suffer from this issue.

If you are an entrepreneur, you most likely have fallen victim to this thought process. You see, we as entrepreneurs are automatically misunderstood and placed in a totally different category than the rest of society. We are classed as weird, dreamers, unrealistic, and kook-aid drinking, brainwashed people who are odd. Doesn’t sound like a good group to be in does it?

What you have to understand is that there are some people who intentionally want to misunderstand you. They want to be at odds with you and will never try to see things from your perspective. My advice to you is- Stop trying to please them! In fact, you should not even waste your brain space on them. I know this can be difficult if it is a close friend, family member, or someone else who you value their advice and opinion. What you have to do, however, is ignore the people who are not helping you to achieve your goals and stick around the people who are encouraging you. Do You REALLY Believe In Your Business Opportunity?

In May of 2014 I had the honor of being invited to be a co-host and participate in a “tweet chat” about Success Principles with Lynette Gilchrist of Young Dream DiggersIn this tweet chat, Lynette asks me some great questions on what Success Principles are and what it is that successful people do differently. 

I wanted to share this chat with you so that you can learn what the Success Principles are. Once you understand what the principles are, you can then apply them to all aspects of your life, whether you are an entrepreneur or looking to advance your career. You can take the principles learned and improve every aspect of your life!

We also went on to discuss how successful people think differently than the majority of people. There are certain qualities and thought processes that successful people have learned. The great thing about success is that nobody is born successful, but that success is learned through using the principles discussed in the chat and then taking action! Isn’t that great news? Who is Your Target Audience in Network Marketing?

Every business and company has a target audience. If you are watching TV and stick around to see the commercials, virtually every one of them is geared toward a particular audience. It could be a safer vehicle for the young family that has a new born baby, to the hip I-Phone cases for teenagers, to the newest computer or technology for the veteran sales pro. The commercials are all designed to “target” the audience or market who is most likely to need, want, or purchase their products and services

So what about your Network Marketing business? Do you have a “target” audience that needs, wants, or desires your products or opportunity? Before you answer that question, I want to give you a very valuable hint that took me years to learn. Hint: It is not EVERYBODY! When my wife and I started our business, we were told to talk to everyone within a 3 foot radius about our opportunity. It did work to some extent, but do you want to walk around everyday hunting, or I mean, talking to everyone that you lay eyes on? My guess is probably not! It wasn’t until later that I learned that you can prospect everyone, but market to your target audience; speak their language and understand the issues that keep them up at night, and then show them how to solve their issue. That is a key tip right there! If you try to market to everyone, you will get no one!

When I learned who my target audience was, it changed the way that I grew my business. It was pretty eye opening at first, but the more I thought about who I needed to target and mold my marketing around and why, it made perfect sense!
