I’ve been getting this question a lot recently from Entrepreneurs in the Network Marketing industry and Home Business industry. That question is, “After I finish showing my business presentation, or they see the business presentation, what is it that I should say to find out if they liked it or to start the closing process?”

This is a great question and frankly, it is not taught enough to new people in Network Marketing. Most business owners end their presentation and then they proceed to continue talking and selling. As you may have experienced, (and I did too) this is not effective and doesn’t work!

If you want to get better at sponsoring more reps into your business, I recommend asking a very simple question. It is so simple that you will probably say to your self, “Man, why didn’t I think of that?!” The right question to ask does not require skill at all! In fact, it is a question meant to get feedback and put your prospect in the “right frame of mind.” Watch this short video below where I use examples of what to do and what not to do and share with you The Right Question To Ask!

So you just got stated in a Network Marketing business or you have been thinking about starting one. Maybe you have been involved in Network Marketing for some time now and are considered a grizzled veteran! In either case, there are a lot of distractions that can lead you off of your success highway which is to make money! I am making the assumption that you got involved in a home business to make money and have the ability to live a better lifestyle for you and your family both in finances and time.

So what are the potential “distractions” to the Network Marketer who is looking to make money in their business? Aside from the obvious distractions of working a job, or associating with friends/family who do not support you, there are distractions that are well meaning, but will not necessarily take you to the place of time and money freedom in your business. Here is what I mean-

Network Marketing is a business with a learning curve, and when we all get started in business, we are encouraged to read and listen to audios to help us learn the business as well as change our thought process to become an entrepreneur. These are things that any successful Network Marketing business professional should do! However, I see a lot of Network Marketers spend the majority of their time reading books and listening to audios to grow themselves (which is good), but they do not spend time performing the “Money Making Activities.” 

You can listen to audios all day and be inspired, motivated, and learn the newest technique to do something, but your business will not grow. You will be a motivated person with a no business to speak of! You can also read every book on success and learn great people skills so that everyone likes you. If you only read books and don’t apply the “Money Making Activities,” you will be a well liked person with a small business!

There are 4 essential activities that you must do in order to have your business grow. In the following video, I describe what these important activities (Money Making Activities) are so that you can begin to implement them and have your business grow to where you want it to be in order to hit your goals!

“The past doesn’t equal your future!” I had heard that saying many times before I finally really came to understand what it meant. When I did break it down in my mind, I came to realize just how important and powerful the phrase is! It is a statement and truth that many people either don’t understand, or they choose not to believe it. 

We all come from different backgrounds, were raised in different parts of the world, and have different cultures. The one thing that we do have in common is our very own story and baggage. When I coach other Network Marketers and business owners, I find that a large majority of them bring their “baggage” into business with them. This can severely hinder their success. I break down what the statement “The past doesn’t equal your future!” means in the video below.

How To Approach And Talk To Anyone

Approaching and talking to a complete stranger is very intimidating to most people. So what if you are in a business that requires you to talk to strangers about your opportunity? Then what? 

Have you ever been in this situation: You are at the local grocery store and you see the perfect couple or perfect prospect. They look sharp and like they have it all “together.” They would be the perfect person/couple for your business team! Your mind races as you try to come up with a way to get their attention and start a conversation without feeling corny or getting rejected. You stalk them up and down the isles of the store hoping that they will walk your way. They turn away from you and start to walk away to the next isle. Fear takes over and you say to yourself, “they looked like they were busy and I wouldn’t want to bother them.” As you leave the store, you feel like you just let another good prospect get away. The feeling of doubt and discouragement overwhelm you and you get in your car and drive home. “Tomorrow” is what you say. “I will meet another sharp couple tomorrow!”

Have you experienced a situation like that before? Can you relate to the feelings and disappointment? I have been there many times. Through experience, I have learned that when I’m in that situation, I just need to act!

Because I have been in this situation many times, I felt the need to make a short video on how to approach and talk to anyone because I know that many people struggle with this. 90% of approaching and talking to anyone is all in your mind! Let this video provide you some thought process on what to do to approach and talk to anyone, so the above scenario never happens to you again! We all want to be successful, right? Many people want the “secret” formula to become successful. If you are looking to become successful in anything; career, business, family, marriage, parenting, etc, it will take a lot of hard work. This work however, is well worth it when you see your dreams become a reality! Below I am going to share with you 10 simple tips to become successful. There are probably more than 10 actions or attitudes that you can do to become successful, however, these 10 “secret” tips are what I have found to be some of the most beneficial to becoming successful.

Here are 10 Simple Tips to Become Successful:

1. Never give up: Do not settle for remaining in your comfort zone. Remaining complacent is a good way to get nowhere.

2. Be passionate: If you love what you’re doing, it will never seem like work. Find your passion and you will find your success!

3. Be focused: Ask yourself: “What should I be thinking about right now?” Don’t let your mind wander and worry about things out of your control. Shut out the negative talk of others who don’t believe in what you are doing. When you remain focused, you can accomplish much more in a shorter amount of time.

4. Keep in the ‘moving forward’ zone: Listen, learn, apply, and move forward. Do not procrastinate on taking action. Success doesn’t wait for you, success attracts people who are in chasing it.

5. See yourself as victorious: That will focus you in the right direction. Have a mental picture of yourself already achieving the success that you desire. Success always happens in the unseen before it is manifested in the seen.

6. Be tenacious: Resist the urge to give up if you don’t see results. Most people quit just before they are going to have a breakthrough. Success takes time! If what you are doing is not getting you the results that you are looking for, analyze the situation and make small tweaks. Sometimes being stubborn can work wonders!

7. Be lucky: I really don’t like the word “lucky.” However, for this point, the old saying, “The harder I work, the luckier I get” is absolutely right on. You create our own “luck” by working both hard and smart, never giving up on the success which is yours; claim it!

8. Believe in yourself: If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will either. Don’t wait for others to believe in you, they will start to believe in you when they see your belief and passion that you have for your success. Believe that you can accomplish great things, because the reality is, YOU CAN!

9. Ask yourself: What am I pretending not to see? Be honest with yourself. Don’t ignore the negative things in your life as they can be the exact things that you need to overcome or to improve on that can point you in the direction for your success. There may be some great opportunities all around you, even if things aren’t looking so positive. Great adversity can turn into great victory.

10. Look at the solution, not the problem: Ask yourself, “how can I move from where I am to get to where I want to be, no matter how daunting the situation may be.” There is always a way around anything! Become “solution oriented” and find the silver lining for an opportunity to turn a negative into a positive.

If you want to become successful, begin to use these tips right now. You may not start to implement each one right away, but start with one or two at the beginning, and then as you become more efficient, you can add more to your plate.

If you are building a Network Marketing business you will need to talk to people. For many business owners, you will also need to get over the fear of talking to people about your business in order to have it grow. Most likely, you got into Network Marketing because you were attracted to the money and time freedom that this incredible industry offers. Yet, when it comes to talking to people and sharing this awesome opportunity, a lot of business owners clam up and are afraid to talk to people.

How did you meet your best friend? Before you developed a friendship with them you didn’t know them at all. You had to talk to them at some point to determine that you had like interests, etc! So why are you fearful of making some new friends who need what you have and probably have like interests (time and money freedom)? There are tons of people out in the marketplace who want what you have to offer, and are probably praying for an opportunity to come their way! You are the solution to their needs, wants, and desires!

Money matches your mindset! You have probably always heard successful people say that success is an attitude or a thought process, I know I have. Did you ever really stop and think about the impact that your mindset has on your ability to make or attract money?

Before my wife and I became entrepreneurs and started building an online business, we were very proficient at the principle that I am going to share with you on how to have money match your mindset and what that means to you. The problem that we had, concerning our thoughts, was that it was the exact opposite of what I am going to teach you! We operated from a lack mentality and essentially repelled money away from us based on the way that we spoke and how we thought about money.

My wife and I are college educated people who did what we were taught to do; go to school, get good grades, and then get a good job. The issue was not that we weren’t capable of making money and attracting it to us, the issue was that we did not know that our very actions and thought process was making money run from us! We started to learn from very successful people and invest a lot of time an money to educate ourselves and change our thought process and learn how successful people are able to attract money and their success.

Please understand, that it is not your fault that you have been repelling money away from you.
